Short Stories

As a member of Oxford Writers Group, I have a short story in the third and fourth anthologies of stories set in Oxford and Oxfordshire.

The Midnight Press and Other Oxford Stories –

ISBN 978-1-780185-42-2

‘It has pleased me enormously that a group of writers, some by now familiar names and some new voices, have combined forces for the fourth book in this series, to present to us another splendid arrangement of original Oxford short stories.’ Colin Dexter

Through the Mist of Time, is my time-slip story set in Bury Knowle Park in Headington. Generations of children have played in the park which has recently been re-vamped complete with a Narnia arch and wardrobe in tribute to one of Oxford’s most famous writers, CS Lewis. In my story, I use the Narnia arch as the portal for my protagonist to step into Victorian Oxford.

The Bodleian Murders and other Oxford Stories

ISBN 978-1-904623-24-3

‘An intriguing collection of stories by the OxPens writers’. Katie Fforde

My story, In Time for the Wake, begins in the Pitt Rivers Museum and brings together my life-long fascination with Africa and my more recently discovered love of Oxford. The story is loosely based on a strange incident concerning a bronze mask which Adrian and I brought back from Nigeria. The mask has since been returned to Nigeria.
